India is the oldest civilization known but a very young nation. It has seen many ups and downs but has yet to learn from its history. India is a nation where a large percentage of its people works against its own interests and this is seen in history as also today in the public space. This is both deplorable and undesired.
In order to compete and be successful India needs to shape up a lot. It will not be easy but much needed and imperative so that it retains its position in the world before the advent of slavery that was inflicted by the external aggressors beginning from about a thousand years back. India should remember that it is better to be late than never.
The steps need to be taken at all levels in the society and at both national and international stages. Moreover they need to involve all the people who take pride in being associated with India and want its well-being. A lot of Indians have brilliant ideas but they go waste as the country does not channelize them properly.
b) Make the work environment rewarding, fair and devoid of nepotism and negativities.
c) Make the political environment decriminalized and helpful.
d) Make the economic, social and technological arenas honest,
e) Make law and order strict, timely and just without hindering prosperous and smooth devoid of bottlenecks and belittling tactics.
f) Uphold Hinduism and its offshoots and remove social ills like casteism, racism, linguist society, adultery, prostitution, illicit sex, nudity, drugs, alcohol, rapes, poverty, malnutrition, unprofessionalism, cheap language and behavior, non-cooperation at work places, black money, black marketing, corruption, violence, domestic violence, tax-evasion and so on. Get the international black economy back in India, finish off the domestic black economy and put the money for use by the nation.
g) Improve India's image internationally. China has earned more respect than India and is a much stronger nation than India. Indians should take inspiration from their glorious past and build a better future by learning from China.
h) Build India's tax-collection a fair, transparent and strong entity. The tax collected should be used in building a strong nation.
i) Improve and enhance the skills of Indian work-force on a regular basis.
j) Build a free health system like Canada, much needed by the country's masses, especially the downtrodden and poor. Family Planning should be a priority for all.
k) Build social benefits into the system for all its citizens.
m) Force Britain to return the imperial loot to India.
n) Develop the country's infrastructure and education network.
p) Increase the participation of Indians overseas and putting it back in India.
q) Operate community kitchens, clothing stores and shelters so that people are not doomed in times of peril.
r) Clear up the mess of the business world including the under-the-table dealings. Make the environment business friendly, transparent and rewarding for all especially the small business owners.
s) Create an environment of religious tolerance, not hatred while protecting the lives of its citizens.
t) Promote sports and entertainment in a clean way.
u) Protect Indian and Hindu traditions, religions, cultures, languages and the values too.
v) Make democracy a force within the country and elsewhere support it.
w) Increase India's contribution to improve International Brotherhood globally.
x) Promote Hindi and other Indian languages internationally and help get them the status they deserve. Make Hindi the most popular language on the Earth and it is my advice to North Indian Hindus to stop mixing Hindi with other languages while speaking because this degrades her and is also not needed. Speak Hindi in its purest form to represent the true culture you possess and be proud of it. Hindi is the richest language in terms of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation so make the most out of it.
y) Make all education and employment available in Hindi and other Indian languages including higher education.
z) Promote health, fitness and a right lifestyle in all its citizens.
This is not complete but just a glimpse of how much more India needs to do. Remain assured that though the path is not easy the destination will however provide a most beautiful view!
